Based on Smith’s novel, CRAZY LOVE, the film adaptation, by Daniel Blake Smith, is looking to shoot the action/romantic drama in his home city of St. Louis (where the novel is set), hopefully by the fall of 2023. Directing the film will be Richard Ulrich, in his feature film directing debut. He has directed numerous original and award-winning short films–among them, STEVE, WHO’S PAISLEY?, and SAFE & HAPPY, the last a drama by Smith, that won awards at the Austin Revolution Film Festival in 2019.
